Who we are

In this policy, “FAI Labs”, “we”, and “us” mean FAI Labs, the operator of fai-labs.com and its associated applications (the “Services”). You can reach us at ops@fai-labs.com with any question about this policy or about data we hold.

What we collect

We collect as little as we can, and only for a stated purpose.

• This website. The public site is a static page. We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or third-party profiling scripts on it. Our hosting provider processes standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — to serve pages and to protect against abuse.
• Account information. If you sign in to one of our applications, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your identity provider (for example Google), so that we can authenticate you and control access.
• Content you provide. Files, text, and settings you submit to an application, so that the application can do what you asked of it.
• Operational logs. Records of requests and errors, used to keep the Services running, to debug them, and to investigate security incidents.
• Correspondence. Messages you send us and our replies.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we do not seek out special categories of personal data.

How we use it

We use personal information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services; to authenticate users and enforce access rules; to communicate with you about the Services; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Google user data

Where a FAI Labs application asks for access to your Google account, it requests the narrowest scopes that let the application work, and it shows you those scopes before you consent. We use that data only to provide the user-facing features you invoked it for.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the feature you requested, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law; we do not use it for advertising; and we do not allow humans to read it, except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or where the data is aggregated and anonymised. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google account permissions page.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract — hosting, infrastructure, identity, and error monitoring — and where we are legally required to disclose it, or need to in order to protect the rights and safety of FAI Labs or others.

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, and then delete it. Operational logs are retained on a rolling basis, typically for no more than 12 months. Account records are deleted when the account is closed, unless we must keep them to meet a legal obligation.

Security

The Services run on hardened, access-controlled infrastructure. Traffic is encrypted in transit, administrative access requires multi-factor authentication, and access to production data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat the data we hold as if it matters.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Write to ops@fai-labs.com and we will act on your request within the period the applicable law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

International transfers

We operate from the United States, and information we collect may be processed there or in other countries where our service providers operate. Where the law requires it, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms to protect that information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the Services change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced through the Services or by email where we have your address.
